Live webinar
Swiss BATE from 1 January 2027 ElCom on representation, registration and reporting
A 45-minute operational briefing with Dr. Cornelia Kawann, Head of Market Surveillance at ElCom. Hosted by Fidectus.
From 1 January 2027, the Federal Act on the Supervision and Transparency of Wholesale Energy Markets (BATE) requires market participants to register with ElCom and report Swiss wholesale power and gas transactions. Participants without a seat in Switzerland must also designate a local representative under Article 6.
We will cover what the Act already fixes, what the VATE ordinance and ElCom guidance still need to settle, who must appoint a Swiss representative, and how to prepare EU REMIT II and Swiss BATE reporting in one post-trade workflow before go-live.
